About Make Give Live
We are a social enterprise, whose purpose is to reduce social isolation and provide a sense of purpose and wellbeing through crafting, connection and providing warmth and care to those in need.
Formed in 2015, we have groups who meet weekly around Aotearoa, coming together to knit and crochet our products. The Social Enterprise model works on a ‘buy one, give one’ basis - for every item we sell, an item is donated to someone in our local communities via our charity partners, warming the heads and hearts of New Zealanders in need.
MGL-Community Trust was formed in 2019 as we saw our purpose shift - we now donate at least 4 times the amount of beanies we sell and we need to find new ways to continue to fund the making. This also tells us there is great need in our communities.
MGL are excited to partner with KGWW to create custom made beanies to keep walkers snuggly, warm and stylish during winter walks while being able to support the local community through donated items. We share the value and passion for human connection and we think this is something worth celebrating.
For every custom made beanie we sell to the KGWW community, we will donate an item to a community group nominated by KGWW.
We are offering two gorgeous colours of custom made Mia hats at a special rate to KGWW. Orders are on a pre-order basis and will be made to order. We expect hats will take about 2-4 weeks to make and will be sent out shortly after.
